Grant Family papers, 1832-1968.

This collection consists of a great deal of material directly and indirectly pertaining to the family and descendants of Ulysses S. Grant. The majority of the correspondence is between Ida H. Grant and Frederick Dent Grant, but there is also a small amount concerning the biography of Ulysses S. Grant. The collection also contains materials related to Grant's unsuccessful third term attempt, family relations, the south and photographs of Grant both alone and in groups. Other items of interest are revised galleys of the USG memoirs and a diary that Grant kept on his trip around the world. In addition there is a great deal of material pertaining to WWI and WWII including pamphlets, the Pearl Harbor report, a Citizen's Handbook, and air raid regulations.
